The mouse is an input device that enables a user to select commands quickly and perform tasks. It has two buttons to click on.
When Mouse moves, the arrow on the screen will move at the same time. This arrow is called the mouse pointer.
Mouse Functions/actions
Click
Press quickly and release the mouse button once. This action is called click.
When you click on the left side mouse, you will see, this button will highlight the icon.
Clicking on the right mouse button will display a shortcut with menu.
Double click
Press quickly and release the left mouse button twice is called double click. By using this method, you can open a folder or run a program.
Dragging
Left mouse button, press and continue to hold down now move the mouse, this is called dragging.
Drop
After dragging action, when you release the left mouse button, that object will move, it is called drop.
Scanner
Scanner is an input device. It is used to scan the text and images into the Computer. Once a document or picture is scanned, it can be displayed on the screen of the computer.
It works like a photocopy machine. You can create a copy of document or image in the computer.
Digital camera
It is an input device, which allows a user to take pictures and make videos. You can store them in the computer instead of a traditional film.
You can see a picture on the screen of the camera. Digital cameras have built in memory to store images. Digital camera provides a feature to delete and edit an image after taking it. You can view the picture on the LCD of your digital camera. If you want to see these pictures on computer, connect digital camera to computer by using data cable and save these pictures in your computer.
Microphone
Microphone is an input device. It is used to input audio in the computer. We can record voice using microphone in the computer. Microphones are used to make audio and video calls and chat over the internet.
System unit
In system unit, which is like a box is consists of different electronic components. Like main circuit board, processor, power supply, storage devices, etc.
System units can be found in different shapes and sizes.
