Keyboard
It is the most commonly used input device. Keyboard allows a user to type alphabet, numbers or symbols , small buttons called keys. The keys are ASDEF , QWERTY etc pattern.
Keyboard can be divided into following sections.
Function Keys
Alphanumeric Keys
Numeric Keypad
Cursor control/Navigation Keys
Function Keys
Located at the top of the keyboard. Different purpose of these keys is based on the software which we are using. Like.
F1 key To open the Help screen in Windows.
Alphanumeric Keys
These keys are the collection of letters, punctuation and numbers keys. It also includes special keys, the Tab, Caps Lock, Back Space, Enter, Shift Ctrl and Alt keys.
Numeric Keypad
Located on the right side of a keyboard. Digit keys and mathematical operator keys are here.
Cursor Control/Navigation Keys
Cursor control keys consist of, Insert, Delete Home, End, Page Up, and Page down.
Arrow keys
To move cursor.
Important Keys and their Functions
Tab
If you want to move the cursor more than one space,press Tab key.
Delete
To erase a letter or number.
Backspace key
To erase a letter or number to the left of cursor.
Esc
To terminate any process in between the cursor
Home key
Used to moves the cursor to the beginning of the line or screen
Caps Lock
It is used when we want to write a capital letters.
Ctrl, Alt
For example:
Ctrl +O = Open a new file
Alt F4 Close any program/window
End key
End key moves the cursor to the end of the line or screen. End All Enter key is used.

To type capital letters
